37 Hours per Week
£16.00 - £18.00 per Hour

We are recruiting Attendance & Pastoral Officers to support learners across a large Further Education setting.

This is a student-facing role where you will work directly with learners to improve attendance, promote positive behaviour, and provide pastoral support. You will build positive relationships with students, identify barriers to engagement, and help implement strategies that support success both in and out of the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and support student attendance and punctuality.
• Provide pastoral support and guidance to learners.
• Work with students, parents/carers and staff to improve engagement.
• Promote positive behaviours and life skills.
• Apply a trauma-informed approach to student support.
• Maintain accurate records and attendance interventions.

Requirements

• Experience working with young people in education, youth work, support or pastoral settings.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Understanding of safeguarding and student welfare.
• Ability to manage challenging situations professionally and positively.
